does a picture lie?

Today was a little hectic and I also think a demonic spirit found both of my kids at different times. Caleb had a meltdown this morning, screaming, hitting, kicking and fighting both Jen and I. Lauren woke up from her 3 hour nap and then for the next 4 hours she screamed, threw fits and cried. Of course, this was the evening of our quiet dinner with my mom since my dad is out of town for the weekend. WOW! What a crazy night. The food was good, but Lauren did all she could to destroy this evening. We didn't let her. HA HA! WE WON! They both went to bed at 8 this evening. THANK YOU GOD THAT IT GETS DARK EARLIER NOW AND THAT CALEB'S CLOCK ISN'T WORKING!!
The reason for the title has to do with this picture:

You see, in the middle of the afternoon all was calm! I was in between doing things around the house, so I spent some time raking leaves in a pile and playing with my son. It was really nice. I love October. Doesn't that picture look nice? Nothing like a crisp, beautiful fall day. Okay, that is where the picture lies. IT WAS BLASTED HOT! We broke a record today with another 90 degree day. The leaves are falling because they are DEAD from the drought. I took this picture while drenched in sweat. My point...nothing really, except that you can't always tell everything from a photo. I guess to be a little "deeper", you can't judge a book by it's cover. Things truly are not always as they appear. I will end the cliche's now!

It really was a fun afternoon despite the hot, blistering sun. I had a great time with Caleb and we made some memories. Enjoy the following pics!

Well, tomorrow is Sunday. I am excited to find out what God is going to do. I received a letter in the mail today, I plan to share that with you in a recent blog. It was ANOTHER testimony of what God is doing through LCC. It brought me to tears, thank you God! I know a lot of our folks are out of town for the Columbus day weekend, but that means nothing to God! I am confident that He is going to do something very special. I cannot wait to blog about it. Come on God, bless our socks off. In closing I must say..."GO BEARCATS."
B OUT!!
