VIEW BEYOND THE PEW

It was another GOD day at LCC! He was all over the place. I have heard more than one person say that they could feel the Spirit of God all through the building and I have to agree. Now, before you think things are always perfect, we had our share of "stuff". One Sunday school class had 17 students and NO teacher. We ran out of parking spots and people had to park in the lawn. It was almost 100 degrees in the basement for NP-3 during the 3rd service. I am sure there were a few others.
I knew that attendance would be questionable since it was a holiday weekend as well as a big KINGS band show somewhere in Northern Ohio. I spent some time with God in my office early in the morning and just asked Him to bring those He wanted to be here. I prayed for all of our teachers, leaders, musicians, ministry team leaders and especially for our CARE team! I had planned to spend some time in worship with a CD I had set up, but I felt God say, NO! Just go and serve me and watch me work, so I left my office and headed through the church! I was ready to be used by God in a big way. WOW! It was an amazing Sunday. The place was packed. In fact, we had our highest regular Sunday morning attendance of the year at 347! I met so many new friends. I shared time with several dear church members and friends. I was blessed to pray with several people. I also need to say how proud I was of our "homecoming" teens, they were all dressed up from the night before. Why am I proud? Why is this a part of my VIEW BEYOND THE PEW? First of all, they were at church, without an excuse about staying out late! Secondly, they all looked beautiful and all were dressed modestly. I not only have noticed this with our Loveland teens, but all the teens who have dressed up this year. I am so proud of each of you! You are each a great example for Christ and His church in Loveland! I saw so many people praying together, hugging one another and even crying together! I really felt the power of God as I preached. I could sense Him working throughout the worship center. Although no one made a public decision on Sunday, don't be fooled, people were doing business with God!

I ended the morning in a way that was new to my ministry resume. I presided over a wedding ceremony following 3rd service. Congratulations to Randy Hopkins and Lisa Jolly who were married in a beautiful ceremony! It was a pleasure to counsel with this couple and watch as they made the decision to build this marriage on God's foundation! God bless your marriage. I encourage everyone at LCC to share community and life with the Hopkins, you will be blessed.

B OUT!!
