A VIEW FROM THE PEW

I received this e-mail today from Anne Fulks and I just had to share it. Anne recently had surgery but was able to get to church last Sunday. Read what she has to say...

Hey, I woke up this morning thinking about you. I was asked if I would make it to church this Sunday. I said that I wasn't sure because last Sunday took a lot out of me. I was sore from the short car ride and sitting in the chair. But, what I was thinking about was that I really hate to miss one of your sermons. I actually get up excited about going to church, which in my life has never happened to me. I have gone out of obligation or because my parents dragged me to it. For the past 6 or so years we have been trying to find a church and I could come up with excuse after excuse not to go. But...I can't wait to hear what you have to say each Sunday. I know I teased you about maybe just one Sunday I wouldn't have to make a change in my life, but I am amazed at how much your sermons touch me and encourage me to be a better person. I say all that to say, Thank You!
Also, wanted to tell you about my experience last Sunday. Don't think I am a goof or anything like that, but when we closed our eyes to lift our sins to God, I had a vision of the whole congregation and from everyone's body a spirit-like thing was being lifted up. I thought it might be their sins, but it was more positive and light, I guessed it was their spirits being lifted to God. It was very moving for me. I saw these images from every single person in the church, even the band and you. I opened my eyes to look around and when I closed them again, there were still some "spirits" being lifted, not as many this time, but still about 1/2 the church. Kinda freaky! Well, can't wait to see what this Sunday brings! Thanks for being our preacher!!!

Pretty cool, eh? If you missed the "experience" last week, I pray you will plan to be here on Sunday. God is doing some really amazing things! GO GOD!

B. OUT!!
